Mae JemisonĀ - American engineer, physician, andĀ the first black woman to travel into space

Jessica MeirĀ - Swedish/American Astronaut who is planned to be the first woman on the moon. Launch is set to 2024. Also did the first all female space wlk.

Laika:Ā The dogĀ whoĀ became the first living creature sent into space. We want to honor her but also highlight that she made a sacrifice that no animal should ever have to make.Ā 

Sally Ride: As the first American woman in space in 1983, Sally Ride not only made history but also championed science education, especially for young girls.

Ellen Ochoa: Ellen Ochoa, the first Hispanic woman in space.Ā A brilliant inventor and engineer, she holds three patents and has been recognized with NASA's highest honor, the Distinguished Service Medal.

Eileen Collins: Eileen Collins, the first female Space Shuttle commander in 1999, is a pioneering figure in NASA with a legacy of four space flights and significant contributions to women in aerospace.

Janet Kavandi: Janet Kavandi, with over 33 days in space across three missions, now leads at NASA's Glenn Research Center, driving key advancements in space technology.Ā
